That’s it really. 1st baby.
Middle name will be William.
Surname is Italian sounding.. think DaVinci

seems like the preference is for Raphael, which is interesting because it’s the less popular name!

for those saying Felix is a brand of cat food, yes it is, but it’s been a boys name for much longer. Also I don’t mind the cat association.

Raphael

Felix only because I'm not a fan of the shortened version of Raphael

DreamJG · 11/02/2023 01:24

I have a little Raphael and I get so many compliments! I think it’s a name that will carry him perfectly through out his life xx

ElizaSkye · 11/02/2023 07:07

Turtle or cat?! You do… you do know they were names for hundreds of years first?!

Both gorgeous- I love the meaning of Felix but I’ve always thought Raphael is stunning and you have the perfect surname for it so I’d go with that.

FloofyDuck · 11/02/2023 07:24

100% Raphael, I wanted to use it but I think it only works on dark haired olive skinned men and my DS was fair skinned and blonde. But it's such a beautiful name, much prefer it to Felix which falls into the too posh to use category for me.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 11/02/2023 07:30

Felix by a long way.

As PP, Raphael is too frilly for me.

My friend has a 9 year old Felix. He's very cool. No one teases him about cat food. He's usually just known as Felix. He doesn't has an occasional nickname, but not based on his first name.

Raphael William D Vinci 10/10
Felix William D Vinci 10/10

Both are handsome - I hope you have two boys as they sound nice for brothers. Which name would you like best for the older brother?

ChillysWaterBottle · 11/02/2023 13:03

Love them both. Felix is very popular now, not sure if that would affect the your decision. I prefer Raphael over Felix but prefer the combination of Felix William to Raphael William. Tough one!

I prefer felix but with an Italian surname I think Raphael would sound better

Another vote for Raphael for this reason as well.

PearlSupernova · 11/02/2023 21:19

Just to clarify we’re not actually Italian. Our surname is a weird mix of Dutch / South African, but it sounds quite Italian, if you didn’t know any better :)
We are both very English

We have a Felix, he is 23yr, known to all his mates as Fe.

Both names are great! I like the 'happy, lucky' meaning of Felix!
for those talking about the brand with the same name, lots of brands use names e.g. 'Uncle Ben's' rice... doesn't mean we can't use it.
Felix is an old Roman name same as Raphael, another reason why I like them both :) Felix is in Harry Potter and Twilight. I like the soft sound Felix has and the fact it doesn't need to be shortened e.g. we don't shorten 'Alex' 'Ryan' etc as they are already short and easy to say. My real name is short like this and nobody shortens it more so. Best wishes with whichever you go for!
