Alice or Faye?

Which do you prefer and why?

Alice. I like Faye as well, it's delicate and pretty, but Alice is classic and beautiful and strong.

I never got to use it as a) I had boys, and b) it doesn't work with my surname.

Alice to me is quite a drippy name. It’s also really common so I would choose Faye.

Alice is so beautiful and classic, I'd have to choose that. Nothing wrong with Faye though, it's quite pretty.

Faye is an old lady’s name, and not in a good way.

I much prefer Faye. It's my sister's name; it's unusual but classic

I still can't hear Alice, without thinking 'who the fuck is Alice?' Plus it's pretty common at the moment

Alice is a lovely name. Faye sounds middle aged to me, but that's silly as every middle aged person had to start out as a baby. Neither name is bad, but I prefer Alice. It's sweet.

Fay with no e.

Just can't bear the name Alice, no idea why.

I prefer Faye, although Faith is nicer IMO. Alice is stuffy and dull.

I love Alice. We wanted to use it for baby #3 but after some negative comments from in-laws referencing a song with the name in we are reconsidering. Hoping this one is a boy as can't find another girls name I like as much atm.

I prefer Fay to Faye. The e is fussy, without the e it's much nicer.

I would choose Alice. I never liked spelling of Faye.

Faye over Alice. But Alicia as a similar alternative to Alice is nicer than both.
