With Ferdie as a nickname. What do you think?

Got carried away. I instantly think Fernando- even though it isn’t quite the same

Unless he's going to be an Archduke I woukdn't.

Yes! It's ridiculously pompous, almost comical!

There was a baby Ferdinand born to one of my NCT group — the parents were very cool. Mn would have had a fit at all our ‘pretentious’ baby names, mind you.

I really like it. It’s in a similar vein to longer names like Sebastian and Alexander but more unusual.

To me it has a super posh pompous feel like Horatio or Ptolemy or Algernon

I think of Franz Ferdinand who caused World War I (not on purpose) and the band.

I still think it’s fine and usable but I don’t really like Ferdie.
