Lydia or Lara?? Help!!

Hi guys, I am in desperate need of help deciding a name for baby girl due end of December! I am down to two names which and they are Lydia or Lara.

Which one do you guys prefer and the least common?

I like them both.

I think I'd pick Lara.

Lydia feels a bit more mature and Lara feels more carefree and joyful.

I like Lyra too but it's rising so quickly.

I much prefer Lydia; it's a beautiful name. I have a baby Lydia so I may be slightly biased :)

Lara is lovely and this has reminded me how beautiful Julie Christie was as Lara in Dr Zhivago.
I will be humming Lara’s Theme for days now!

Both pretty; slight preference for Lydia which I think is more classic.

I love Lydia, can’t stand the name Lara it sounds harsh to me and reminds me of Tara , Laura and Lara Croft.

Lara is such a nothingy name. Lydia is gorgeous and classic.

You guys can pronounce Lara? I can't. But I do fancy Lyra and Italian variation Lira.
Lydia for me out of these.

Both nice. Dd2 best friend is Lara who is a lovely girl so I’m biased!

Lydia is a bit of an old name I think
Lara is pretty and fresh, without being too girlie. It’s a name that grows up well I think
