Alice or Ava

Hi, I just gave birth to a beautiful girl and we can’t decide on a name. We are choosing between Alice an Ava. We have a boy named Hudson at home. Last name starts with A. Please vote!

Congratulations, she is lovely. Another vote for Alice but I actually agree with a PP saying she looks like an Ada!

I’m going to say Alice simply because your surname starts with the letter A and I think Ava could be a mouthful.

I like both names but your baby looks like an Ava to me. And I prefer the sound of, say, Ava Andrews to the sound of Alice Andrews.

Alice, they are both very popular but Alice more of a classic in the UK

I love Alice, or Eva over Ava. However, if your surname starts with an A, I would avoid the AA initials.

Ava is hardly unique, @ScaSca . Thousands of girls have been named Ava in England & Wales every year for about 15 years names.darkgreener.com/#ava. Not to mention that it is similar to Eva, Eve, Evie, Ivy, Ada, Ayla, etc.
You can't have degrees of uniqueness.
I don't even like it.
