Mabel? Like maple? I have a friend who’s dd is called mabel with the middle name Leanne and I’ve always thought it’s a beautiful name

Aurelia as I think it means ‘golden’
I was considering that was my autumn baby last year.

MrsSamR · 28/09/2022 09:49

We've chosen Xanthe as one of the middle names for our DD due next month as it means 'golden, yellow' and we wanted something subtly Autumnal

A bit obscure, but if you're collecting Autumnal names: in various Slavic languages the boys' name Zlatan (familiar form Zlatko) and girls' name Zlata (Zlatka, Zlatica, ZlatuĆĄe) mean "golden" and evoke "golden October", kind of the equivalent of the North American "Indian summer".

There are a few Autumn birthstones that are traditionally used as names: Sapphire (September), Opal (October) and Topaz (November).
