Is Elias as a first name ok for a little brother whose big brother has the middle name Ellis?

Obviously wouldn't dream of it if it was a first name but hoping I can get away with it as Ellis is only a middle name?

So it would be

Elias James Surname
FirstName Ellis Surname

I don't think I know the middle name of any child I know so I can't see why it would be a problem.

DaisyChristina · 14/09/2022 20:40

I don't see that as a problem, my sister's middle name is my first name (named after grannies) and it has never been an issue.

Fine

I think it’s fine and no one will notice anyway.
However, when you announce Elias’ birth don’t say “brother for first-name Ellis” as that will drawn attention to the similarity before people are accustomed to your baby’s name.

No one will care about the middle name thing
