Thoughts on Marti/Martie for a girl

Hi

I'm just wondering how people think about the name Martie for a girl? I haven't really seen it on any of these threads - one the one hand that's a good thing because we don't want a super popular name, on the other hand I'm concerned that means there is something very wrong with it.

Many of the females in my maternal line have names derived from Martha, but no one actually has Martha on their birth certificates, so that's where the idea for Martie came from. Generally the females in my family only have the name they are being called as the name on the birth certificate.

As for the name it's ok but as pp said I immediately think Back to the Future. Prefer Marnie

I quite like it, I also think Marnie is lovely too.

I like Marti! Very unique and pretty.

Martine or Martina is fine. Martie for short if you want.
