Faria (Persian name for a Pakistani baby) is pronounced like Maria but with an F.

I like it x

OneCup · 06/09/2022 06:39

It's nice but I would have mispronounced it. I would have assumed it was rhymed with Sharia (law).

OneCup · 06/09/2022 06:40

Oh sorry! I was thinking of the Spanish Maria... Ignore my comment.

MagpiePi · 06/09/2022 07:57

I read it as Farrier, as in, can I bring my horse for some new shoes?

ThermoSpooklear · 06/09/2022 07:58

Beautiful

MinnieMouseclubhouse · 06/09/2022 08:01

Nice

ClocksGoingBackwards · 06/09/2022 08:07

I think it’s lovely, but I did also think of a farrier, as in someone who does horse shoes.

Wineythepoo · 06/09/2022 08:27

There is also Fariah which will probably have less pronunciation issues.

ChagSameachDoreen · 06/09/2022 08:41

Lovely.

Flatandhappy · 06/09/2022 08:43

Very pretty. I would have put the stress on the first syllable if I saw it written but obviously once I heard it pronounced correctly would use that.

KirstenBlest · 06/09/2022 11:28

I'd have said it as 'Farrier'

Maisymay12 · 06/09/2022 15:37

Love it. I've also seen it spelt Fariya, which looks prettier somehow.

nlr1 · 06/09/2022 18:23

Pronounced Fu-re-uh or Far-re-uh?
it’s just I would pronounce Maria mu-re-ah

Luredbyapomegranate · 06/09/2022 20:08

I think it is too close to Farrier sadly.

Farah?

feellikeanalien · 06/09/2022 20:14

I've only come across it as a Portuguese surname but I do think it's pretty.
