Tosh?

Not looking for a baby name. But curious about the name Tosh and figured this was the best place to ask

What is it short for?

Try reading the very first sentence of the thread.

Tosh is a name I've heard many times in Ireland. The ones I've heard of are over 60s and I presume shortened Thomas. It's an old man name so not one I'd be very fond of.
