Im into strong, short-ish, not wacky but not ten-a-penny names for girls.

If I like;
Arden
Blaire
Carmen
Fallon
Greta
Mara
Mirren
Robyn
Rosa
Seren

what else would I like..?

Thanks.

I would strike Rosa off your list though? To me that's quite girly and it's also very popular where I am.

Astrid
Addison
Hazel
Erica
Saskia

Seren is popular and won’t be pronounced properly unless you’re in wales.

I like unisex names like:
Alex
Rowan
Rory
Ellis
Blake
Jo
or more feminine:
Brooke
Cleo

I think maybe I think of Rosa as quite strong and confident because of Rosa parks, and dont really make the flower association, I maybe need to think about that one a bit more!
I’ve also never met a Rosa and I work in nurseries; but then I’m in the far north of Scotland so it might just not have made it this far yet :)

Like Cleo, Vita and Gaia out of those already mentioned.

I love Blake

Twizbe · 16/08/2022 20:28

It's not a short name, but I think the strongest girls name I know is Elizabeth.

Hazelthecat · 16/08/2022 20:29

Eden, Ingrid, Etta, Lotta, Pippi, Asta, Brooke, Inez, Petra, Sadie.

Elizabeth is a family name and is a strong middle name contender for us!

Oh interesting; I think seren might be another name who’s popularity just hasn’t made it this far north yet! I’ve only met one, and she actually lives in Edinburgh.
I LOVE Rory for a girl but unfortunately have a nephew with the name!
