I prefer Lana, I do see Luna as a dogs name unfortunately.

I used to like Lana until someone pointed out the reverse spelling. Ruined it for me.

I like it but wouldn't use it. Loony Lona and Harry potter. Lena or Lana are lovely.

I really like the sound of it, it's pleasing. But god yeah, every second female doggo around here is called Luna. And a fair few kids too.

There are loads of L- two syllable female names out there if you decide Luna isn't for you. Leila, Leila, Leia...

I love it OP. Don't know a single dog around here by that name, they're all called my son's name.

In our road we have both a dog and a cat called Luna.

As soon as I saw the name I knew a dog would be mentioned.

Maybe people should call their dogs just by actual dog names. I don't know like snowy 🤣. Considering they're not actually humans.

I lied. I don't have DDogs, or a DC called Snowy. I read Tintin in the original language and DC is Milou.

Yep my cat was called Luna and a friend's dog. It's a nice name though.

Not keen. Makes me think of the moon. Nice name for dogs and/or horses.

I like the name Luna and it wouldn’t bother me that it is often used as a dog’s name, unless I personally knew someone with a dog called Luna. You could choose any name for a your child and then hear it was used for a pet. I know two dogs called James and Noel.
