Final two names on our list - George or Joseph (Joe) - which do you prefer?

Would be a sister to Eve.

Joseph as long as you don't mind the fairly biblical combination with Eve.

George is too popular for me at the moment.

EveryFlightBeginsWithAFall · 26/07/2022 09:39

Joseph

Fridaysgirl17 · 26/07/2022 09:39

Joseph though I have to say that as it's what I named my son 5 years ago 😂, he goes by Joseph or Jo Jo(kids call him Jo Jo),I'm not a fan of Joe as a nickname so I don't use it, but I like George too it's my father's name & my brother so it would have been too much to choose that for either of my boys,

MurderAtTheBeautyPageant · 26/07/2022 14:02

Joseph. By a long shot.

George doesn’t do it for me at all. Such a clammy and flubbery name.

LetItGoHome · 26/07/2022 14:13

Joseph.
I prefer the sound of Joseph/Joe, but George seems a little over done now as there was a massive increase in popularity over the last few years.
Joseph/Joe definitely sounds fresher 😊

Mumtoone39 · 26/07/2022 14:19

Definitely Joseph. Our cat is called George.

Aria999 · 26/07/2022 14:20

Joseph.

SunshineAndFizz · 26/07/2022 14:29

It was a fairly even split a few days ago, but Joseph has stormed ahead! Very interesting!

Joseph.

Lovely name & nice shortened to Joe or Joey.

Luredbyapomegranate · 26/07/2022 17:02

Joesph nn Joe

less overused at this moment and goes better with Eve

BlackbirdsSinging · 26/07/2022 17:03

George.
Both nice though!

WitchWithoutChips · 26/07/2022 17:38

Oh definitely Joseph. It had a bit of a moment in the late 90s - early 2000s and there are a lot of twenty-something Joes around but it never went top 5 so doesn't feel as ubiquitous. George really is incredibly popular and I'm afraid its appeal eludes me.

CharlieBoo · 26/07/2022 21:32

Definitely Joseph! So so many George’s

SemperIdem · 27/07/2022 21:21

I prefer Joseph on its own but would use George with Eve

Meganwarbs · 27/07/2022 21:58

Another vote for Joseph! But then I have a 14 month old Baby Joe, so may be biased 😄

Ilikecheeseontoast · 27/07/2022 22:20

I have a baby Joseph. Joseph James actually. Great, classic name! I do like George as well though’

AlwaysLatte · 27/07/2022 22:33

I've not heard of Joseph for a girl so for that reason I'd definitely steer clear to avoid confusion. George is nice - could be short for Georgiana? One of my favourite girls names!

SemperIdem · 27/07/2022 23:32

Hang on - you’re thinking of naming a daughter Joseph or George? 🤨

TheFormidableMrsC · 27/07/2022 23:33

I've got a Joseph, his friends call him Joe.

Dasher789 · 28/07/2022 00:17

George

Motheranddaughtertotwo · 28/07/2022 00:20

George is much nicer, classic but nice.

Nope, it's for a son.

Not sure why some are thinking it's a girl Grin
