Are Jacob and Benjamin too similar?

Are these names too similar for brothers? Because of the repeating B and J sounds?

No, they're not similar at all.

I don't think they are. Probably end up being Jake and Ben to their friends (whether it's your choice or not sadly) and they're nothing like.

There’s a sort of symmetry to them with the b an j sounds, which is nice, there’re both Old Testament names so linked that way too. So no, not similar but very nicely matched.

Unrelated but lots of older people have the initials DJ and it does make me chuckle with their surnames. Always do a little air horn “DJ ……. in the houseeeeee”.

Funnily enough two of DH's brothers are called this so no I'd say not
