Eli, Elliot(t), Archie,

I quite like Eli. It's an ancient full name in it's own right, not just a diminutive for Elijah as some people will undoubtably tell you. I prefer the Elliot spelling to Elliott. Archie is one of many names like Alfie/Freddie/Albie/Reggie which are fry popular at the moment, and while I don't think having a diminutive as a full name is objectively terrible, they aren't my style and I think they will date.

Totally agree with all this

Unfortunately I met a male dentist with this name who pronounced it like Ellie

Isn't Eli pronounced like the beginning of Eliot or Elijah or Elias?

Dilemmaemmaaa · 17/07/2022 23:55

I do like them all actually but …
Elliott, Archie, Eli.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 18/07/2022 02:47

Elliott by far the nicest sounding to me (although it has spelling issues)
Eli is much nicer as a diminutive for Elias imo but it's okay
Archie is too cute for me, sorry - so many dogs near me seem to be either Archie or Alfie, as well as lots of toddlers!

OneCup · 18/07/2022 03:51

Elliott

Newuser82 · 18/07/2022 07:15

Eli, Elliot then Archie

Elliot is handsome.
Archie only as a nick name for Archibald. Think - The Archibald Portrait Award.

salharg · 18/07/2022 15:58

Archie for me

Huntswomanonthemove · 18/07/2022 15:59

None of them. Sorry.

pinklavenders · 18/07/2022 16:42

Elliott if I had to choose.

Eli looks like a nickname for Elinor.

Archie is not nice and Archibald even worse.

resm · 18/07/2022 22:38

I really like Eli and Elliot, but maybe Eli slightly more. It can also be a diminutive of Elliot if you wanted to use both. Nothing wrong with Archie, just not to my taste.
