I know a 5yr old June.. (born in June!) gets called Junie/Juno..
I went to school with 3 sisters
.. April, May and June.. Youngest was called Tracy!
I actually like it..

Not a fan of month names. Joan and Jean are nicer.
Other than that it's ok.

ThisBloodyWeatherIsKillingMe · 12/07/2022 08:50

No. June Whitfield (Terry and June)

toastofthetown · 12/07/2022 09:19

I like June. I’ve seen it popping up more as a middle name. Junia is by a clear margin my favourite Jun- name, but sadly in my non-rhotic accent it sounds just like Junior. In a vacuum though, or if it works with your accent I love it.

BanditBluey · 12/07/2022 09:58

I know a June 3yo who goes by Junie at nursery. It's very cute. Although if I met anyone called June my first question would be were you born in June?

StopFeckingFaffing · 12/07/2022 10:04

I like it but I know a very vibrant woman called June (aged around 50 so younger than most Junes) which means I don't associate it with 'old ladies' in the way I do with Jean/Joan

I also think of the month not just the name so it has a similar timeless vibe to April or May

scoutcat · 12/07/2022 10:11

I love it. I follow Charlotte Jacklin on Insta and her little girl is called June - suits her so much!

I would too - but I don’t expect Augusts to be born in August, I don’t know why!!

Elsanore · 12/07/2022 12:49

It's great! I'm adding it to my list for future girls now.

What about Jane as well

KirstenBlest · 12/07/2022 13:29

@Annoymousy , the month was named after Augustus, not the other way round.

Bunnygirl0 · 12/07/2022 13:58

Like it

ElviraB · 12/07/2022 16:22

I think June is so cute! A classic name:)

AverageJoan · 12/07/2022 16:23

June is in our family too and I wanted it for baby girl but OH said it sounds too old, considering it for a middle name. I do still really like it.

teatowelsneedawash · 12/07/2022 16:46

I love it

CallOnMe · 12/07/2022 18:52

I like the name June but I think they have to be born in June though.

I do find June and May more common with the older generation.
And I think names like April and August are more associated with a younger generation.

hattie43 · 12/07/2022 18:54

No definitely not

MissLucyEyelesbarrow · 12/07/2022 19:00

I love it. Would definitely been in the running if I'd had biol kids (my DC came pre-named 😉). I love short but pretty girls' names - also Jane, Anne etc.

youcantparktheresir · 12/07/2022 20:18

It's okay..

I know a baby Juno and i think it's quirky and beautiful!

Luredbyapomegranate · 12/07/2022 20:40

Why are you thinking about using it if you don’t like it?!

It’s coming back into fashion I think. I quite like it for a June baby.

CambsAlways · 12/07/2022 20:42

Not a fan

VickerishAllsort · 12/07/2022 21:20

"It's June, dad".
No no no

No. June Whitfield (Terry and June)

I'm in my 50s, and I barely remember Terry and June. It was something my granny watched. By the time the baby Junes of today grow up, hardly anyone will have heard of it. And it's not like it was anything bad, anyway - just an unfunny sitcom.

teatowelsneedawash · 13/07/2022 02:00

I don't remember a programme called Terry and June and I'm 39 so I think most people won't give a toss that there was once a programme with a character called June in it Hmm I think June is a classier version of Juno, makes me think of summer

AllyCatTown · 13/07/2022 02:03

I like it and it would be a contender but it doesn’t go with our surname
