Madeleine or Rose?

Unfortunately there is a slightly negative connection with the name Madeleine, however Madeleine McCann isn’t a topic that is well known in the area I live. However, Rose is a family name and DH loves it. It’s his top choice but Madeleine is mine. I prefer longer names but I dislike the variants of Rose and would only use the short one. Any opinions on Madeleine or Rose?

Madeleine, it’s a beautiful name. It needs reclaiming imo. I’m afraid poor little Madeleine McCann is long gone and I doubt anyone will ever be brought to justice.
Madeleine Rose is very pretty.

I’m not as keen on Madeline. Still nice though.

Roslyn has the ‘eine’ sound of Madeleine (depending on your pronunciation).

Madeleine is beautiful however i’m biased as my name is madeleine!
