Lena Serenity?

Wondering what people's thoughts on this name are. We have a short, constananty surname that sounds similar to Pond. Me and Dsis and also, by chance, DsisIL all have virtue middle names and I'd like to continue that but a lot of them sound a bit short with the first and surname. I have come to really love this combo but DH isn't sure about Serenity. Knowing me and DH I think the chance of serene offspring are slim but that doesn't really bother me!

So Lena Serentiy Pond (not actual surname)

Thoughts? And any other virtue middle names that could work?

Lena is very nice but the Joy / Serenity bits make me think of the Handmaid’s Tale. Why should a woman have to be serene? Surely better to grow up fierce and amazing?!

Its nice as long as your surname isn't actually Pond, because a serenity pond sounds like something you might have at an old peoples home.

Looking up the meaning of Dilys ( who knew!) and found Malia, which I quite like with Lena.

As pretty as Lena Serenity is I agree with the other poster that it doesn't quite sound right,
I know it is not exactly a virtue name I like Lena Zoe Bond.
Zoe was the goddess of life and since reaching Mount Olympus she tries to make her life the best she can.

@viques , Dilys is old-fashioned. It has quite a nice meaning but I'd take it to mean something like 'sincere' or 'true', but it's also the word for valid as in valid tv licence or something. I think it's dreadful.

I can't get beyond hearing it as Lean Ass Erenity.

I know a little girl called Ernestine - Lena Ernestine could work?

I actually quite like Lena Joy.

Serenity does make me think of bath salts or a spa, so I wouldn’t for that reason.

I’m really sorry, as individually I think they’re both quite nice names, but together to me they sound like a new feminine hygiene product.

I like it! For what it's worth my daughter's name was often referred to as a strippers name on mumsnet back in the day, now it is commonplace in the names you love threads and often comes up on suggestion lists!

I like Lena. I don't care for Serenity myself but if you like it, why not? The middle name will probably not be known or used outside of the family anyway.

Verity is a great option IMO.

Verity, Constance, Prudence, Amity all go OK with Lena.
