?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Yes it's overdone. It's been well in the top hundred since 1996. It's in a category where it's dull but inoffensive, like Sophie, Freya, Mia etc.

We have Phoebe Grace age 3 and have met a couple but none in our immediate network. I love it.

Luredbyapomegranate · 06/07/2022 00:12

Not yet

Chloe or Zoe a bit less popular though

daisypond · 06/07/2022 06:46

I only have come across one Phoebe and she’s 23. I think it’s a nice name.

pinklavenders · 06/07/2022 11:54

Phoebe/Feebee sounds dated imo.

MermaidMeemaw · 06/07/2022 12:06

I love the name Phoebe. Was one of my top choices for my DD 35 years ago, so years before ‘Friends’. I would have had it for a second name, but it didn’t go well with the name I eventually chose, which I also still love. Phoebe Joy is a lovely choice.

I know quite a few children called Phoebe and one spelled Pheobe and a Feebee
Most of them get called Pheebs

I also know a Phoebe misspelt as 'Pheobe'. As a name nerd it upsets me every time I see it written down 😂 More so than 'feebee' as they were clearly trying to get it right and not intentionally misspelling it.

I just can't understand how no one has pointed out the error? 🤔I also checked the DarkGreener stats and there were 19 born last year alone so unfortunately it's not a rare occurance! 😮

pinklavenders · 07/07/2022 12:32

19 girls named Pheobe last year alone...Shock

BanjoVio · 07/07/2022 12:39

In 11 years of teaching, I’ve taught 5 Phoebes I believe. In comparison to Emilys, you’re golden 😄

KirstenBlest · 07/07/2022 12:55

@Luredbyapomegranate , I know an awful lot of Chloes, but they are older.

CoastalWave · 07/07/2022 12:59

No Phoebes in the school my children attend and I've only taught one in 6 yrs of teaching.

Hardly overdone?

Overdone would be Ava, Isla, Evie, Izzy, Sophie, Freya Mia,...

MuchuseasaChocolateTeapot · 14/03/2023 16:47

I love it. It was my great grandmother’s name, I would have called my daughter it but it was the height of Friends fame and I thought it would be everywhere. Called my cat it instead, her nickname is Fee or Fifi

ourflagmeansdeath · 14/03/2023 21:24

Phoebe Joy is so so lovely, please use it!

SneezyEvie · 14/03/2023 21:58

Zombie thread!

Phoebe is lovely in sound, history and meaning.
It goes well with many second names and is not too common.

Phoebe Joy 10/10
Phoebe Margaret
Phoebe Eliza
Phoebe Susanna
Phoebe Grace

MintTeaAndChocolate · 15/03/2023 19:43

I don't know any.
Kids in 2 different schools 🤷🏻‍♀️

Justinripley · 16/03/2023 07:21

I was born in the 90s and know lots my age. I heard of a newborn one the other day and thought it was quite an odd choice as for me it’s with the Lauren, Amber, Ellie era for me.

I also don’t think it’s a nice name. Sounding or aesthetically. Sorry!

Moonlight9 · 16/03/2023 08:44

I also grew up in the 90’s/00’s but hardly know any Phoebe’s - I certainly wouldn’t categorize Phoebe with those sort of names mentioned by PP.
I love it OP and don’t think it’s overdone at all! It has a lovely meaning, history and is a bit quirky, not just another Ava, Isla, Mia etc
