Struggling to name DD4. Lots of names that I like but can't imagine using.

We narrowed it down to Sienna or Rose but now I'm doubting myself.

Anyone have any last minute suggestions?

Sienna Rose - lovely :) go for it!

SpringBadger · 16/06/2022 23:39

What are your doubts? I would be wary of registering her with a name you've just thought of the night before, or negotiating names on the way there. Much more potential for regret.

To put myself in your daughter's (future) shoes, Sienna and Rose are both perfectly nice and easy names, and presumably you would have noticed by now if there was a problem with either of them, like the initials spell something rude. She should be fine with either name, you've done well for her.

Nothing wrong with Rose Sienna.

What are your other DD names like?

Northernlurker · 16/06/2022 23:46

What do you call her now?

334bu · 16/06/2022 23:46

Give her both.

We both wrote lists and narrowed it down to these two names (both my suggestions). Sienna was picked but then a few days later DH said he had gone of it which left us with Rose - I think that's where some of my doubts have come from.

DD1 has a simple but quite underused name beginning with C.
DD2 has an uncommon name on BC but mainly goes by a common nickname.
DD3 has a name which lurks just outside the top 10.
They have classic middle names.

DD4 is currently being called the baby.

They're both lovely names individually or together.
And congratulations.

Sounds like an eyeshadow palette.

RevoltingHumanHead · 17/06/2022 00:39

Sienna and Rose are both fine first names but I would say that Sienna Rose has been quite a common combo in the past few years, if that's the kind of thing that might bother you.

What are the names you like but can't imagine using?

It will be all go in your house with four girls! Grin

Names I like but can't quite imagine using are Ada, Adeline, Lyra, Mabel, Martha. I do like Anna too but DH doesn't!

@Luxa your list contains 2 of the names we've used. Hopefully means Rose will 'go with' them.

Give us a pic!
I’m thinking Matilda.
I like Rose, too.
Bella?
Christina?

Luredbyapomegranate · 17/06/2022 15:14

Rose is more of a classic so I'd go with that, even if it is popular

Or.. Serena, Adela, Claudia, Clara, Marianne, Flora, Frances, Lois, Iris, Imogen, Lydia, Louisa, Emma, Stella, Felicity, Verity

Sienna is lovely! I don't like many names on mumsnet (they all seem hugely into the classic types) but this I love.

allboysherebutme · 18/06/2022 01:59

Sienna Rose. X

allboysherebutme · 18/06/2022 02:00

Love Ada, Mable and Martha too. X

Bambaleyo · 18/06/2022 23:37

What did you decide on? 😁

indecisiv · 20/06/2022 16:44

She's Rose! With 2 middle names so plenty of choice if she doesn't like it when she's older

@indecisiv excellent choice

SirSamVimesCityWatch · 20/06/2022 17:08

Fantastic choice! I may be biased 😉
