Celia or cleo?

deciding on a name for dd and think I’ve narrowed it down to Cleo and Celia but struggling to choose between them… had some helpful comments on previous threads so wondering which people prefer out of these two?

I much prefer Cleo. As PP have said, Celia feels a bit dowdy.

But I do really like Cecille - I knew a lovely French woman with that name.

Cleo for me. I've never liked the name Celia. I used to LOVE Selina as a child though!

To me Celia sounds a little like a Victorian romance heroine who is about to swoon and be caught by a Lord Ravenhurst.

Celia - Shakespearean elegance and a classy vibe so would be my preference. I don't dislike Cleo though - it's fun and quirky but somehow feels more trendy.

I have a Celia! She is 20. She is kind, clever and beautiful. We loved it as a classic underused name with the Shakespeare connection and the Ben Jonson poem. She was always the only one at school apart from a teacher.
I like Cleo too but think of it as a Greek name which I don't have a connection with. If we hadn't used Celia we would have gone with Sylvia.

Celia is very frumpy and Cleo is gorgeous.
