So far DH and I like:

Ruby
Rosa
Molly

To go with a “Mc” surname (won’t give away full surname lol).

Thoughts? Any other suggestions? (I love Lily and Amelia but they’ve been vetoed)

Misty (sounds nostalgically Scottish)
Or Midge using the same logic 😂

Rosa is lovely. Ruby and Molly not my cup of tea.

Nina?
Anna?
Lara?
Anya?
Lilia, if similar Lily and Amelia has been vetoed?
Emily?

Sylvie?

Plus Rosalie - if you like both the "lee" sound and R names

OffPointe · 21/05/2022 11:39

Layla, Eleanor, Milly, Eva, Freya, Florence, Sophia?

Or a different flower/nature name: Daisy, Poppy, Willow, Iris?

I do love Rosa though ❤️

Ruby. I can get the hype as I know its a nice name. However I don't like the sound.

Rosa. Sweet and pretty for a little girl. Elegant and sophisticated for an adult. What's not to love.

Molly. Well as the proud owner of one need I say more.

Molly Mcxxx is adorable, memorable and has the right amount of gravitas to also work well on an adult, imo.

I like the others too, but Molly would be my choice!

I love Rosa and Ruby! I like Molly but not as much. I won't add anymore as you've had a lot of good suggestions already and it can be daunting.

(Please don't call your child Amilie as suggested by pp, it's awful.)

Jessica nn Jess
Lois
Anna
Nancy (poss as nn for Anna)
Nell - or Eleanor / Ellen nn Nell
Clara
Jean (coming back I think)
Juliet
Ffion (get a bit of Welsh in with your Scots)
Oona (ditto but Irish)

Rosa is great, but I might go with Molly as lots of Rose variants around - although always think Rosanagh is great with a Mc surname

Ruby is OK
