Thoughts on Delphine please? Do you know any?

Don't like 'del' makes me think of Del Boy

I think it's lovely. Can't think of any negatives. I like dolphins! I'm not keen on Celeste (Barbar the elephant's wife in the Barbar books).

Makes me think of Delphine donkey too. I'm not a huge fan. But clunky, no good abbreviations, bit more out there than other French names doing the rounds and not in a good way. Sorry!

I think it's really beautiful. It was on my list for a girl but not needed - I've since met a grown-up Delphine who's a tad annoying, but that's my problem not yours 🤣 go for it!!

I still think of the woman who sold her bathwater when i hear the name in its own, but that wouldnt translate to meeting a person with that name

I think it’s very pretty, two thoughts though:

1. would you want to be called it? Some of the names I see on MN sound horrible to me and I wonder if their parents would change their own names to it!
2. what’s it going to sound like in your accent being shouted across a supermarket when she runs off? if it passes those tests, go for it!

Makes me think of the porn star (despite never having watched porn 🤨) . She was on social media with lots of simp followers prior to the porn.

I only know of one and she's an older teen known as Dellie.

I knew one who would now be about in her seventies. It is a nice name.
