Struggling to settle on a first name but so far….
For boy’s name we like: Henry, Charlie, Jonah
For girl’s name we like: Anna, Isobel, Sophie, Elodie, Freya
Any opinions on these names/alternatives?

In order: Charlie (nn for Charles), Henry, Jonah
Not keen on the OT names

Girls: Anna or Sophie. Isabelle/Isabel/Isabella too popular, Freya overused and Elodie meh and just another Ellie

Alternatives: Annie, Kate

bdd2017 · 02/05/2022 12:23

Charlie and Anna are my two choices.

MargaritasOnMe · 02/05/2022 12:39

I'd go for Jonah and Freya. I like Elodie too.

Happenchance · 02/05/2022 12:42

I like Henry. I prefer Jonas to Jonah.

I like Anna and Freya. I prefer Isabel to Isobel because I think Isa (pronounced Ee-sah) is the best nn for Isabel.

Other suggestions:
Joel
Luke
Jonas

Marianne
Josephine nn Josie

Jonah or Anna - the rest are also nice but very overused (not so much Elodie, but she’ll end up one of a million Ellies)

Stella, Verity, Felicity, Laurence, Patrick might be others

Firebird83 · 02/05/2022 15:41

Henry and Anna

ButterRose · 09/05/2022 02:57

I like Jonah from your boys list alternatively maybe you would like Noah ?
On your girls list I like Sophie or a sort of mix between Anna and Elodie...Alannah or Ardella

Robinni · 09/05/2022 04:02

I like Jonah and Elodie, Anna is nice too.

Elijah, Frederick (Fred/Freddie), Benedict/Benjamin (Ben), Gabriel, Jonathan, Jacob, Isaac, Noah

Amabel/Annabel, Coralie, Aimee, Isla, Sofia, Eloise, Elena, Eliana

MrsBertBibby · 09/05/2022 04:30

Jonah and Anna the best. Anna is a great name.

How about Elias, or Conrad?

Love Jonah and it's a bit more unusual and special than the others although Henry is gorgeous classic. My son has 2 Charlie's and 2 Henry's in his year group (year 1) if popularity matters to you.

Love all your girls' names but favourite is probably Anna.

quarantandrums · 11/05/2022 17:13

Jonah and Anna. They're the least popular out of the names you've listed and actually the nicest too, I think.

I love all your names!
Charlie would be my favourite from your boys list.

I have a Hannah who almost an Anna.
I also love Annabelle and Rosanna.

I prefer Isabella but that's just my personal preference. I seem to know more Isobel/ Isabelles and not so many Isabellas.

Sophie has always been one of my favourites, but recently I'm more drawn to Sophia.

I also love Elodie and Freya.
