Staring a a new baby boy and we are a bit stuck... Names we like and could suit him are...

Abel
Corin
Jonah
Seb (Sebastian)

We'd like something strong and short for him. Surname ends in in 'son'. Appreciate any thoughts and suggestions!

I love the name Abel and wouldn’t put the Bible connection together at all. Congratulations on your beautiful new baby.

Abel is a gorgeous name and fits perfectly with your other children's names. Jonah is also amazing and fits well. I love Sebastian but I want to keep it short because the other sibling names are short.

Okay I love Abel too but surely there isn't anyone who doesn't make the bible connection when they hear the name Abel? Abel is so obviously linked to the bible? It's like saying you don't think of the bible when you hear the name Moses?

Perhaps I didn’t explain myself very well; I realise it’s a Biblical name, however, the point I was trying to make was that I don’t instantly make a negative association anymore as the name becomes more popular. For example: I don’t hear ‘Hannah’ or ‘Martha’ and think ‘Bible’ as I know so many others that share the name. I was trying to give the OP confidence to go with a name she loves and to try and not overthink as postpartum hormones can play havoc with your reasoning (from recent personal naming experience).

Sebastian is way too long and fussy imo especially with your other childrens' names.
