Thoughts? As a brother for two boys with Irish names. My DH is Irish and said it's not really used in Ireland, is that right? He hasn't lived there for 20 years.

Not traditional ly used as a name in Ireland.
The word "torann" means "thunder" in Irish.

Torin is a place in Scotland. Nice name!

Never heard about it before, but really like it :) it's not a very long name, so not sure if it 'needs' a nickname.

How about Fionn or Oisin if the others are too harsh? Apologies for lack of accents, dunno how to do them.

And I voted Torin for our last but the lord of the rings references got too much. Also wasn't allowed Thorin or Stellan, apparently any child of mine will not be cool enough 🙄
