Lexi?

I’m really liking the name Lexi for my baby girl. Is it an unusual name? Because I remember it being very popular several years ago but I haven’t heard of any new baby Lexis in a long time. If I go for this name, it will be just Lexi, no longer name because I really prefer Lexi just on it’s own and not as a nickname for a full name like Alexa, Alexia, Alexis or Alexie. I also really dislike the name Alexandra and I think it’s too dated. Can I name her just Lexi? Also what middle names go with it? I was thinking Rae and DH likes Lexi Mae but I think Mae is overdone as a middle name. Can anyone think of any beautiful unique middle name to go with her first name?

I've got an Alexia

She's 8. We shorten it to Lexi sometimes

I love it, Obvs 😂 but people have said it's "common". I don't care, we aren't posh in any way

I don't mind it as a shortening for Alexandra but not keen on it as a stand alone name

I have come across a handful of Lexis in past 15 years or so but don't know any that are pre-school age

If you do use it then I think it sounds nicer with a longer middle name rather than the usual Mae, Rae, Grace etc

Lexi Madeline
Lexi Elizabeth
Lexi Olivia
Lexi Charlotte

I don’t like it as a given name. Alexandra is a classic name, it’s not a name that dates. Lexi as a stand-alone is though.

So popular, I think it will date.
