Rosie

Are my favourites.

New30 · 28/03/2022 21:39

Very similar to my list and I’m sue in 5 days. I really like Izzy, And Jenny too. Sorry no help!

Marty13 · 28/03/2022 21:41

Eliza - Okay

Maria - too common and overused, that makes it a bit bland for me

Tessa - Fine

Lucy - Fine, I like the meaning (light)

Louisa - prefer Louise

Alice - fine

Anna - a bit too common and simple for my taste. Prefer Anya.

Rosie - that's a nickname, I'd put Rose on the birth certificate. In fact I'd probably put something longer like Rosalyn.

If I had to pick I'd say my favourites are Tessa or Eliza, my least favourites are Maria (so so common) and Rosie (sorry I know it's in fashion but can't stand diminutives in place of a real name, also not keen on flower names).

Caramelcap · 28/03/2022 21:42

Alice or Lucy

Not keen on the rest

Maria least favourite

dollydimple123 · 28/03/2022 21:42

Lucy or Rosie

Marty13 · 28/03/2022 21:42

Forgot to add, Eliza and Tessa are my favourites because Tessa is a bit unusual and I like the rhythm and flow of Eliza.

ThinkForAMinute · 28/03/2022 22:06

Anna is my favourite.

WeasilyPleased · 28/03/2022 22:11

Favourite Alice least favourite Lucy.

Sugarbellaella · 28/03/2022 22:14

Favourite Is Anna
Least favourite is Rosie

NuffSaidSam · 28/03/2022 22:14

Alice
Anna
Louisa
Lucy
Rosie
Eliza
Maria
Tessa

In that order. But I MUCH prefer Alice and Anna to all the others.

OverWorking9to5 · 28/03/2022 22:15

Eliza, Louisa or Anna

Peppapig7262662 · 28/03/2022 22:17

Love Rosie
Hate Alice - reminds me of that Chubby brown song.

Ikeameatballs · 28/03/2022 22:17

Eliza best, Tessa worst (sounds too much like tosser).

Luredbyapomegranate · 28/03/2022 22:24

Favourite is Tessa but prefer as a nn for Esther or Teresa
Otherwise Anna, a great classic

Eliza, Alice and Rose variations all overused (although Elizabeth nn Tess is nice)

Lucy, Louisa and Alice are all nice but slightly twee, and Alice overused.

Maria I don’t like

WaitinginVain · 28/03/2022 22:26

Maria is my favourite.

Alice definitely least.

DoorLion · 28/03/2022 22:27

@Amdone123

Favourite is Anna. Least favorite is Tessa.
Me too!
bluechameleon · 28/03/2022 22:31

Love Eliza and Tessa. Not keen on Louisa. Rosie doesn't feel like a complete name - how about Rosemary or Rosamund nn Rosie?

gulliblestravels · 28/03/2022 22:38

Anna is best. Or Anaa.

Liv999 · 29/03/2022 07:16

Rosie is my favourite, Anna least favourite

MorrisOxford · 29/03/2022 07:23

Tessa and Eliza are my favourites. Maybe Anna third; it's quite an elegant name.
I probably wouldn't use Maria as in my area, everyone would be asking if I had Greek or Italian heritage.
The rest of them are fine, nothing to write home about but very unobtrusive,

Elysant · 29/03/2022 07:24

My favorites are Alice, Eliza and Lucy. Least favorites are Anna and Maria, quite bland names.

Mumofgirls2017 · 29/03/2022 08:04

Oooh I love them all. Difficult to pick best and worst but I love Eliza and am just cool about Lucy?

Sleepyblueocean · 29/03/2022 09:29

Maria is my favourite. Louisa I like but I don't like the nicknames for it. Rosie is too cutesy for me so would use Rose as the official name. They are all nice names.

DoucheCanoe · 29/03/2022 09:43

Favourite is Tess(a) - I know a Tess in her 50's and always thought it was a cool name, suits all ages too :)

Least favourite is Maria - possibly through negative association but to my ears it's quite clunky sounding in UK accents and had its day.

I like Anna, Eliza and Louisa too.
Not keen on the others.

babynothappening · 29/03/2022 09:52

I like Anna best although personally id go with Hannah :-)
