Middle names for triplets

tripletmommyabi · 18/03/2022 08:53

My babies are going to be called Adelaide, Dorothy and Etta. They will all have the middle name Paige after a family member but I would like them to have another middle name too so that they have something of their own.

I'd like Paige to be their second middle name e.g. Adelaide [middle name 1] Paige

I honestly have no idea what names to use as their 1st middle name. I like older names but I'm open to more modern ones too. Preferably not a commonly used middle name but not too out there either.

Thank you x

I’m not so keen on Charity but some of the virtue names are lovely
Grace , Hope and Joy sound pretty
Interconnecting names seems nice too
I like Pearl and Ruby bit can’t think of a third !

Dinoteeth · 23/03/2022 22:31

Is there a reason why you don't want to give the first born Paige as either a first or middle name?
Rather than all 3 having Paige?

Two middle names seems a bit much to me.

BrutusMcDogface · 23/03/2022 22:32

You’re so lucky! All the best for their arrival! 😊

I can only echo that Etta needs a longer middle name and the other two shorter ones. I love Adelaide with a two syllable name ending in a y sound, eg Ivy and Nancy as mentioned by a pp.

I love the gemstones idea, and there are lots to choose from
Good luck!

@Fairybobbin

Continuing the themed virtue names: Adelaide Joy Dorothy Faith Etta Serenity

Or thinking if them in NICU and being tiny ones:
Adelaide Matilda
meaning "battle-mighty, brave"
Dorothy Leona
(Latin origin) meaning "lioness" or "the one with lioness' strength"
Etta Bernadette
meaning "brave as a bear"

Ooo that's really lovely, I also love the name Matilda! It's one of my favourite musicals

My DC all have tree or flower middle names so I would also go with themed. Maybe

Adelaide Daisy
Dorothy Iris
Etta Rose

Congratulations OP!

You could give them ABC names according to their eventual birth order, then they can always remember who is older.

Adelaide Amelia/Alicia/Amy/Audrey/Anastasia
Dorothy Belinda/Beatrice/Beatrix/Bianca/Bryony
Etta Catherine/Cecelia/Cecily/Cassandra/Caitlin

No give them their names in reverse alphabetical order so they aren’t always in the same order

I love Grace, Hope and Joy suggested above. Especially as you have sensibly gone for non-theme first names.

Best of luck.
