My favourite boys' names for at least 40 years have been Richard, Matthew and Adam. (I have two sons and neither of them has any of these names, but I'm not annoyed - there were other nice names that were a better combination of what we both liked.)

My favourite girls' names change a bit over the years but I think if I had to name a girl today she would be Laura, Emily or Sarah.
