Classic and beautiful, wet and twee or something else? What do you think of Lucy?

Lovely!

glowingcandle · 11/03/2022 23:43

I think it's a beautiful name. I wanted to be called Lucy when I was growing up!

Nancydrawn · 11/03/2022 23:44

Love it. Smart, warm, even a little sparky. Not at all try hard.

AuntTwacky · 11/03/2022 23:45

Lovely

KirstenBlest · 11/03/2022 23:52

Classic and pretty but popular

shreddednips · 11/03/2022 23:56

I love it. I do slightly prefer Lucia though, it's so elegant.

timestheyarechanging · 11/03/2022 23:57

I do like it but it reminds me of two girls when I was young (I'm 50) - one was Juicy Lucy and the other was Lucy long hair! No idea why though.

KirstenBlest · 12/03/2022 00:01

I knew a Loopy Lucy

WeasilyPleased · 12/03/2022 01:45

It's too twee for my taste. Also I've met 3 adult Lucys who were extremely unpleasant so it's really put me off. For some bizarre reason I like Lucille though.

Pinkchicken85 · 12/03/2022 01:50

Boring.

PiperPosey · 12/03/2022 02:09

@Ilikecheeseontoast

Nice but safe. Lucia as an alternative?
I love Lucia.. My granddaughter is named Sienna and they called her SISI but now at 18 she goes by her full name.

So Lucia... call her Lucy but she always has Lucia if she prefers that OP

Kanaloa · 12/03/2022 02:16

It’s a nice name. Wearable and quite pretty. Sort of like Sophie or Amy to me. Not out there or exciting but a good safe choice that will suit any type of child.

Alrightqueenie · 12/03/2022 06:58

Lucia or Lucinda instead of Lucy.
Anna is a good classic alternative name.

Anyfeckinusername · 12/03/2022 07:06

Lucy is beautiful. It’s quite pretty and it stands up on its own. It manages to be feminine without being childish or twee. I wouldn’t get into embellishing it with versions. It’s a lovely name in its own right.

wishing3 · 12/03/2022 07:08

Love it

Feather12 · 12/03/2022 07:09

I love it, it is my middle name from my English/Irish mum. My first name is weird, masculine and foreign and I love it, but I love Lucy too!

Roselilly36 · 12/03/2022 07:09

I love the name Lucy, classic & timeless, great choice I am surprised it isn’t more common.

ralanne · 12/03/2022 07:51

Hmm not fond of it because I hear "Loosey". Lucia is lovely though.

Whatwouldnanado · 12/03/2022 07:56

I have a brilliant, sparky beautiful Lucy. Bringer of light in many ways.

GestationalDiabetes · 12/03/2022 08:01

I love it

LucyFox · 12/03/2022 08:10

It’s classic and truly timeless- I know of Lucy’s aged 70+, 50ish, early 30s, late teens and toddler - having said that it’s not a common name. Unlikely to be one of several in a class, not try-hard, not trendy, easy to spell … Its also not too flowery and girly. I like it a lot

Pollyputthekettleon1975 · 12/03/2022 08:24

I love it.
The name of my angel baby lost in 2007.
The name Lucy will always have a special place in my heart.

MissCarolina · 12/03/2022 08:48

Love it

userclip · 12/03/2022 12:40

LittleGwyneth · 13/03/2022 22:54

I really like it. Lovely for a child and an adult. Lucinda could be an option too if you wanted.
