Initials A.S.S...

We're finalizing a name for newborn DS.
Love Bertie, but Albert is the only viable long form name we can agree on.
However, our surname is double barreled, both beginning with S.
So his initials would be ASS.
Is this as awful as I suspect or am I overthinking it?!

ASS as a set of initials is probably pushing it but some of you are way OTT with your views

They're just a combination of letters. Nothing more . There are only 26 letters in the alphabet. Who knows what phrase may be (vaguely) inappropriate in 10/20/30 years

BRA and ASS are words so they are noticeable, the others not so much.

Don't do it! I have a friend whose DCs initials are S.U.C.K (she didn't even realise till the child brought home her first work from school! I didn't know her then) and that poor child has been bullied relentlessly in high school! Kids can be vicious!

maybe i'm in the minority here but i think it's fine. from my experience it works like this: either they use all initials (also the middle name) or they use only the initial of the first name and surname but then they'd only use one S as double barreled surname would be seen as one name. he'd be A.S. in the worst case and otherwise A.M.S.S. or A.J.S.S. or whatever middle name you go with. just don't choose a middle name that starts with R.
