Which one? We both like both but I sway more towards Jasper while OH sways more towards Milo.

We’ve spent the last 9 months going through pretty much every boy name on the planet and have boiled it down to these two 😂

These are both on our shortlist, my husband didn’t like Roman but I loved it. Perhaps wait and see what he looks like?

I think I prefer Milo.

To be honest I am not a huge fan of either of them. They both seem to associated with pop culture as Milo reminds me of that singer who had hits ages ago (Milow, I know it is unrelated but sounds the same) and Jasper (even though an old name) gives me Twilight vibes. But they are both fine names and very usable.

I was a child when Twilight came out and people loved it and it was just everywhere. It has still influenced the names to this day. I can only think Twilight when I hear Bella, Rosalie, Esme, Jasper even Jacob it's sort of sad. Not that I think Twilight is that awful the first book and movie are sort of fun (dislike the later ones) but still not really a great association. Weirdly enough Isabella and Edward had a lucky escape, I associate them so much with British history and kings that they do not go into Twilight territory (unless combined in a sibset).

I don't love either but I think I like Milo more.

I’m currently watching Twilight so have to say Jasper. Milo reminds me of a dogs name and the drink.

Jasper or Casper. Only because my mums car is Milo! Lovely names though.

Did you decide?

TabithaHazel · 15/03/2022 21:54

Jasper is perfect :)

In the West Country a jasper was a wasp. Maybe just my school but could never use that name as a result!
