I love it. It's a family surname so would use as middle. Also one of us says Francis and the other Frarncis and that would drive me doolally.

Really dislike it, always have done. Agree it’s so wet and blah sounding. I would hate to be called it, personally.

Had an adorable uncle named Francis, so I've always liked it. Frank as nn is very much in vogue.

If you think it sounds "wet", maybe pair it with a short first name, eg. John Francis.
