@merrymelodies

Roman Polanski
Err probably not a good idea to name a baby boy after Roman Polanski.

Love Roman

LongSummers · 21/02/2022 06:23

Roman

Newuser82 · 21/02/2022 06:48

Ah I love them both! Sorry not much help

coldfeetmama · 21/02/2022 06:58

Definitely Roman , Romeo just makes me think of the Beckhams

FlatSusy · 21/02/2022 07:47

What about Romaine, Romulus or Lysander? Just google Shakespearean names!

Zillamop · 21/02/2022 08:45

Romeo

ukborn · 21/02/2022 09:31

Romeo - talk about setting up your child for constant teasing! Roman if it's just the two choices but not a fan of that either.

OinkyO · 21/02/2022 09:43

Roman

OinkyO · 21/02/2022 09:43

Ronan?

StopStartStop · 21/02/2022 09:44

Roman is fine. I've known men called Roman - I think most were Albanian but I might be wrong.

irishfarmer · 21/02/2022 09:46

Roman is better.

Romeo, no there will be endless jokes. Strangely the same thing cannot be said for Juliet

APurpleSquirrel · 21/02/2022 10:01

Personally, neither. Romeo is an Italian name but has too many connotations. Roman isn't an Italian name.
Personally I think there are nicer Italian names:
Luca
Marco
Raphael
Stefano
Alessandro
Matteo
Petro
Niccolo
Gabriele
Bruno Grin

This has some good suggestions:

Thank you all for the comments/feedback. I know Roman isn’t an Italian name, I just like the name. I mentioned baby boy was Italian cause of Romeo. I also really like the name Luca, however I can’t use it as one of my best friends has a son called Luca …

Much prefer Francesco and Luca.

RubyRedRoses · 21/02/2022 10:25

RuthW · 21/02/2022 20:27

Roman

User48751490 · 21/02/2022 20:31

A friend's nephew (Italian) has just been named Mario.

Sorry not a fan of Roman or Romeo.

inmyslippers · 21/02/2022 20:35

I love Roman

WhoppingBigBackside · 23/02/2022 13:17

Neither.

irishfarmer · 23/02/2022 14:14

I like the Italian names Marco, Giuliano and Alessandro

bloominglovelyorange · 23/02/2022 17:03

I know about 10 baby Roman's
But none under the age of 2
It's the fastest rising baby name at the moment and feels super trendy. It's sudden explosion in popularity would put me off, feels overused but is nice enough , I'd pick something else though

Hm2020 · 23/02/2022 17:04

Roman

bloominglovelyorange · 23/02/2022 17:06

Meant to say none OVER the age of 2, sorry.

@Gigi97

StopForAMinute · 23/02/2022 17:11

Roman.
