Baby name help

Hi everyone. I’m expecting my first baby, I do not know the gender yet, but I have put together a list of names I’m considering for a boy and a girl. I really want to narrow it down and eventually have 1 girl name and 1 boy name picked out. I would like to know which name(s) are best and your opinions on each one if possible.

It looks like there are lots of things and associations I did not know about these names! I’m still keeping my list for now. This is my first time naming a baby and I’m actually a teenager so I think I’m just going to have to find a way to see which name(s) I like most.

I love the names August and Delilah and prefer Luca to Lucas.

I'm from the UK and I know a couple girls called Finley and I've never though it was odd x

Lucas or Flynn out of the boy list.

For the girls:

I think Finley nn Fin would be worse for an overweight teen girl or woman than it would for an overweight teen boy or man, i.e., they would be teased more than a male counterpart. Females are also more likely to develop an eating disorder.

You're young OP. I now cringe at the names that I would have called a child if I had been a teenage mother. You will probably love whatever name you give your child because it will be their name and you will love them, but if I were you, I would use the traditional spelling of whatever name I chose, rather than trying to be unique.

Have you considered Morgan for both a boy or girl?

I haven’t considered Morgan because I don’t really like the name.

We were so close to calling our DS August nn Auggie but the name didn't fit right with our surname.

Out of the boys name I like Asher and August
