Help! DD due date is fast approaching and need some name inspiration!

Which is your favourite or any other suggestions ☺️

I think Olivia Erin works really well!

I've never seen Ottolie with that spelling. Was it a typo or did you make up a unique spelling for a specific reason?

Erin and Olivia are nice but somewhat overdone.

How about Octavia? Emmeline?

I like Erin and I don't know any. I also like Erika and Lois.

With Zoe Sugg naming her daughter Ottilie it will no doubt shoot that name into the top 5!

Olivia, I guess. It’s overused but it’s classic.

Erin’s overused and blah. Ottilie is really faddy. (It’s spelt Ottilie)

More unusual alternatives - Antonia, Edwina, Alexandra, Cecily, Verity, Leonie, Ffion, Jocelyn, Catrin

I love Erin and don't think it's overused at all - I hardly know any.

Olivia is pretty. Still very popular obviously but it's been that way for probably nearly 20 years so I don't think it's faddy.

Not keen on Ottilie.

What about Felicity?

Olivia - nice but has been very popular for decades so she'll always be Olivia Surname
Erin - harsh sounding and nothingy
Ottolie - the German pronunciation is nice but the UK pronunciation isn't

on the old names thread someone mentioned the name Sidonie which I thought was nice. Bit different.

I like Olivia best from your list, but it is still very popular.

Other names with a similar vibe are Jessica Julia and Beatrice. Or with a French flavour, Manon.

Ottilie is pretty but feels quite "now".
I've never liked Erin but for no good reason!
Olivia is a bit dull because it's so popular but it's still my favourite of your three I think.
I prefer Livia.

How about Ophelia? Effie for short?

I love Heidi too and not too popular.

I like Erin the best out of your choices.

Oh forgot, I do like Olivia, with Libby for short, but it's been at the top of the names list for a few years now so there are a lot of little girls with the name.

Olivia is one of DH favourites but yes
It does put me off it's been at the top of name lists for years!

We did always like Isla, but again too popular and too much of a mouthful with our DS' name.

Finding girls names so much harder!

Matilda gives you the option of Tilly as NN if you like that about Ottilie or Ettie/Etta have a similar feel to the Ottie NN.
Erin and Olivia both lovely.
Merryn, Orla, Phoebe, Annie, Hester, Effie, Romilly, Elodie I think have a similar feel.

The name Ottillie was in our name list but it didn't fit in with our other children's names...
