Twin brothers for Eli

Hi,
Our son is called Eli (this is his full name, not nickname).
We are expecting identical twin boys in the near future. Looking for name ideas that go well as a duo and trio but are not too matchy.

Names we like (or one of us likes a lot) - a few of these have been vetoed for one reason or another, but just to give you an idea-
Jude, Theo, Dexter, Arlo, Oscar, Archie, Charlie...

Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Whilst the Biblical names are all lovely, I think 3 of them together looks like you're working your way through the Old Testament. I'd avoid anything obviously Biblical for that reason.

UserBot9to5 · 12/02/2022 09:04

yeh, maybe better to go for Eli Max and Gus. That way, 3 letters looks like your theme not THE OLD TESTAMENT

UserBot9to5 · 12/02/2022 09:07

and when I was choosing names NEARLY two decades ago now, dc1 is nearly 19, all of these bible names were popular for boys, on my lists anyway, but that was before I'd even heard of these super religious blogging vlogging type people who have ten kids and homeschool them and have channels on youtube. NOW, 3 bible names might put me in mind of that type of family more than the bible. The super religious types who aren't that religious it turns out often.

UserBot9to5 · 12/02/2022 09:08

That's my own jaundiced view I know! I like bible names. But totally agree that three together is a bit full on.

Wow, wasn't expecting so many responses! Thanks for all your suggestions so far, we'll be thinking them over in the coming days.

Should have mentioned we're not religious at all - just love Eli - so definitely want to avoid choosing two more that both have strong religious connotations. :)

I first thought of Isaac & Noah. Think both would go lovely with the name Eli.

From your list though I like Jude, Arlo & Oscar best 😊
