A sibling for Rocco.

I am unexpectedly pregnant, and last time we named my baby Rocco, which doesnt really”go” with my other children’s names, as they have quite classic/old fashioned names but he was supposed to be our last so we thought we would just go with it, he was our wild card! Smile

In my head I feel like the name has to flow with Rocco even though there are other sibling names I can see myself saying Rocco and “ ” a lot. Maybe something Italian, but not too Italian as I am about as Italian as a bag of chips!

Not sure on the sex as I think I would like a surprise this time (never managed to do that before).

So far I like:

Girls

Cosima
Marnie
Pandora (not brave or posh enough for this but I love it so much )
Petra

Boys

Cassius , nn Cass.
Romeo (I know! Bit Rocco and Romeo ❤️)

Any suggestions welcome 🙏

My friend has a dog called Rocco and his doggy sister is called Cleo. I quite like the two ending with o

pineedles · 11/02/2022 04:54

I've heard of a Rocco, Portia and Sonny sibset?

Also like Luca / Lucia.

Other more 'classic' names ending in -o might work too - Rocco and Hugo, for example. Ties them together without being way off your other two children's names.

Adore Cosima so that would be a hell yeah.

I like Cassius, prefer Caspar as its shorter and snappier.

Sazc003 · 06/09/2023 22:49

Why be so rude. Plenty people have the name rocco

steelingmyself · 06/09/2023 22:53

Rocco and Otis sound much cooler than anybody in my family 😂 Xander?

I like Marnie too with Rocco for a girl.

JobMatch3000 · 06/09/2023 23:07

Reece / Rhys for a boy.
Sophie for a girl

Wow this thread was ages ago!

I actually had a miscarriage but am now 6 months pregnant and having another boy!

Winston is probably my favourite but I also like Rio, others I like are Dexter, Frank, and Vinnie.

Its hard as I have teenagers too and every name I mention they say they will get bullied! They hate Winston 😑

Marnie!! Don't know many marnies, such a beautiful name I would definitely use that name too!

@Sazc003 , what prompted you to post on a thread from nearly a year ago?

@Foxglovesandlilacs86 , sorry about your loss and best wishes for you and the bump.
I wouldn't pick Rio with Rocco as they seem too matchy. I like Winston is great. Dexter and Frank are ok, but I don't like Vinnie.I like Cosmo and Bruno, both of which would go.

I am another one who doesn't particularly like using names from another culture, and I don't Tabitha is considered 'from another culture' any more. Ivor would probably get asked if he had a welsh connection quite a lot. It never crossed my mind to ask the parent of Tabitha if there was a greek connection, especially as the name is of aramaic origin.

miamiibiza · 07/09/2023 12:21

Go for Vinnie

Sazc003 · 27/10/2023 19:10

Your a twat.
Her child is already rocco who you think you are giving your opinion on his name?
