Hello,

We are expecting baby no.5 this summer. We just heard today it’s a little girl, our fourth one so running a bit out of ideas. Grin

Our children’s names are Josephine, Iris, Theodore, Charlotte.

My first thoughts are:

Phoebe
Eleanor
Arabella
Grace
Anastasia
Hermione
Penelope
Rosalie
Georgia

But in reality I’m really out of ideas at this stage. Grin Your suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you Smile

I think Eleanor and Grace go well with your other children. Other suggestions… Elizabeth or Catherine/Katherine.

MerryMarigold · 08/02/2022 16:21

I like Eleanor and Penelope. I like Vivian just because I love the nn Viv! (Just sounds vivacious to me). I don't really like Arabella or Rosalie (bit fussy unlike your other girls names). Emmeline might be nice with Josephine, first and last (?).

Undertheoldlindentree · 08/02/2022 16:26

By contrast, I think Rosalie goes well!

Mumofgirls2017 · 08/02/2022 16:46

My favourites for you would be Eleanor, Phoebe, Arabella and Penelope

Other suggestions

Elizabeth
Hazel
Violet
Vivienne
Annabelle
Eva
Esther
Florence
Henrietta
Philippa
Dorothea
Clementine
Cassandra
Tabitha

Do you shorten your DC's names OP? Just helps when trying to suggest names. Your children have lovely names!

midsomermurderess · 08/02/2022 17:50

Hermione.

TIPosy · 08/02/2022 17:58

No we don’t, we use their full names. Smile

Liv999 · 08/02/2022 17:59

Eleanor all the way

WeasilyPleased · 08/02/2022 22:05

Rosalie sounds lovely with your other dcs.

Buddhabowl · 08/02/2022 22:16

I agree Rosalie is the nicest and goes best with the others. I like Eleanor but she will end up Ellie at school, I really don't like Ellie.

Laureatus · 08/02/2022 22:32

I'm the youngest of 6, with 4 girls. We are Helen, Susan, Dorothy and Elizabeth if that helps! We were always called by our full names although shortenings developed naturally as we grew up.

BuddhaForMary · 08/02/2022 22:37

Hermione is lovely, I also like Tabitha if you've ever considered that? It goes lovely with the names of your other children.

Luredbyapomegranate · 08/02/2022 22:37

What lovely names your children have!

I really like Eleanor, like Grace and Georgia, quite like Phoebe.

Other thoughts - Marianne, Serena, Susannah, Frances, Genevieve, Christabel, Mary, Elizabeth, Lois, Anna, Verity, Edith, Flora, Eve.

Arabella and Hermione are a bit fussy compared to the elegance of your other names, and Anastasia and Rosalie very fussy - although I think Rose, Rosanna, Rosalind and Rosamund are all nice. Penelope will inevitably become Penny at school, unless you enforce Nell from the start,

babyjellyfish · 09/02/2022 11:22

Penelope is my favourite from your list.

Alice?

BlueChampagne · 09/02/2022 11:26

Penelope and Rosalie are my favourites from your list.

Miranda?
Fiona?
Francesca?

Easterbunnyiswindowshopping · 09/02/2022 11:29

Grace is nice and short for after all those names! I have 11 and it becomes a mouthful when reciting them all! I have a few longer names and a few short ones too!!

MerryMarigold · 09/02/2022 16:54

I'm Eleanor there's the occasional person who calls me Ell or Ellie in my long life. But not many! It's not a given. Possibly a 4 syllable may be more likely shortened but if people aren't shortening Josephine then I doubt they'll shorten Eleanor.

ItsSunnyOutside · 09/02/2022 16:59

Phoebe and Grace are my faves from your list.

Allsorts1 · 09/02/2022 17:01

Immediately Phoebe stood out from your list as perfect with the others. Second choice would be Penelope.

Chakraleaf · 09/02/2022 17:01

Tabitha
Isabelle
Victoria

LeftieLucy · 09/02/2022 17:04

Georgia is my favourite from your list.

MerryMarigold · 09/02/2022 17:06

I like Georgia but I don't think it 'goes' with the others. Georgina would and it's a great name!

Bundlesofchocforme · 09/02/2022 17:09
