Mika, Mica or Micah?

Pronounced Me-Kuh and for a boy.
Which spelling?

I’d go Mika for a boy. I know a couple of female Mica’s (one is short for Micaela). Micah is pronounced my-ca.

Mika for that pronunciation. I'd say my-ca for Micah, and Mica is a type of rock.

Micah is pronounced My-ca.

Mika - unisex name but tends towards boys, usually pronounced Me -kuh.
Mica - unisex name (often a nn for Michael or Michelle/Michaela) can be pronounced My -kuh or Me-kuh.
Micah- traditional Biblical boys name, usually pronounced My-kuh.

So for your case, I'd chose Mika.

Thank you for all the replies. I didn't realise people felt so strongly about the pronunciation of Micah as I've heard footballer Micah Richards have his name pronounced both ways.

I like this, I could come round to the pronunciation. My husband's Muslim and Micah is a prophet in the Quran also. Plus name meanings are quite important etc.

Well they are all ok spellings I think.

Only thing is… if you yourself are asking which spelling then think about the child… he will be asked the same thing over and over I guess

I am conscious of that - we have another son with a name of multiple spelling options poor kid!

Mika if you want that pronunciation. As others have said, Micah is My-ca and Mica is a mineral, also pronounced My-ca.

But I like the Micah spelling the best if pronounced My-ca. I'd assume you were religious.
