We've narrowed down our shortlist to 3 names: Connor, Ryder or Riley.

What do people think? All go nicely with middle and last names, keen to get general opinions and viewpoints on thongs we've not thought of...

DS due in 2 weeks and we’re naming him Connor 🙂 so that has my vote!

DramaAlpaca · 23/01/2022 21:08

If spelled the Irish way, Conor, that would get my vote.

The others, including Connor, are surnames and I'm not mad about them. Sorry.

Twizbe · 23/01/2022 21:09

I always say, when you're down to 2 or 3 wait for baby to arrive and then decide. One might just fit him better.

Bushkin · 23/01/2022 21:10

Conor

Elspethelf · 23/01/2022 21:10

My nephew is Reilly and such a great kid so I have an emotional reaction to it

GorgonzolaSouffle · 23/01/2022 21:10

I don’t like any of them but you don’t know me so it doesn’t matter xx

newyear1 · 23/01/2022 21:12

Apologies, I don't like Ryder and Riley which leaves Connor

GrapefruitPink · 23/01/2022 21:17

I was going to say this. We knew straight away after seeing him which name he suited most.
mondler · 23/01/2022 21:30

I like Connor best. Whilst Ryder is nice my DS is obsessed with paw patrol and that's all I can picture Grin

This is our first child and I only just found out about the Paw Patrol character, which has now cast a bit of doubt for me 😏😆

Connor is my favourite
Riley is ok
I really don’t like Ryder, sorry.

Howeverdoyouneedme · 23/01/2022 21:38

Not Ryder, isn’t it a dog from Paw Patrol?

Conor.

Kite22 · 23/01/2022 21:42

Connor from the 3.
I'm not fond of surnames being used for first names.

justyoy · 23/01/2022 21:44

Surnames as first names don't do it for me, so I'm afraid I dislike them all equally.

UpToMyEye · 23/01/2022 21:47

Don’t like any of them
They’re all a bit … chavvy! Sorry but you did ask!

StopForAMinute · 23/01/2022 21:52

I prefer Riley.

yikesanotherbooboo · 23/01/2022 21:59

Conor / Conn
Neither of the others are to my taste

user1493494961 · 23/01/2022 22:04

None of them but Connor is the best of the bunch.

MrsMoastyToasty · 23/01/2022 22:08

Connor is the best
Riley is a bit meh.
Rider reminds me of Honey Rider in James Bond.

Twinkleylight · 23/01/2022 22:10

They're part of the surname as first name trend and will date really fast. They're the modern day equivalent of the 80's Tracey & Sharon and Gary and Barry. Not my cup of tea as my preference is different to yours.

EishetChayil · 23/01/2022 23:10

Conor is lovely.

The others are naughty boy names.

finallychangedmyusername · 23/01/2022 23:10

To me Ryder is all Paw Patrol and Riley is the little girl in Inside Out, so I'd chose Connor (but prefer Conor).

Viviennemary · 23/01/2022 23:12

Connor. Dont like the other two.

LizzieAnt · 24/01/2022 03:19

Conor - and this spelling is far more popular as a first name in Ireland, Connor is usually found in surnames.
I'm afraid I don't like the others as first names.

Mumofgirls2017 · 24/01/2022 04:49

They’re all a bit naughty boy names to me 😂 Connor is the best
