Too much of a mouthful?

We’re due any day now, and not sure what we are having. Our boy’s name is sorted and our girl’s was but I’m having doubts as not sure if it’s too much of a mouthful!
What do you think about Jennifer Julia Driver? Too many Js or is it ok? The middle name is set.. we do have a second choice for the first name but we both love Jennifer.
Thanks in advance!

A bit of a mouthful, but not terrible

EnjoyingTheSilence · 17/01/2022 15:00

How often are you expecting to use the full name? Seriously, it’s not a problem

DramaAlpaca · 17/01/2022 15:02

I think it's OK. Both are beautiful names, but maybe need breaking up with another name in between:

Jennifer Mary Julia
Jennifer Rose Julia

MrsTerryPratchett · 17/01/2022 15:02

You'll never say them together so it's fine.

emmathedilemma · 17/01/2022 15:03

She'll be Jennifer Driver the majority of the time but that's still a bit of a mouthful.

Gabbiadini · 17/01/2022 15:08

Jennifer Julia reminds me of the Trevor & Simon / Donovan song even though it’s not quite the same name! m.youtube.com/watch?v=D87UaF8b-zA

wishing3 · 17/01/2022 15:08

Sorry OP, I think they’re both lovely names but a bit of a mouthful together.

Gabbiadini · 17/01/2022 15:09

Also the lyrics in Mack the Knife talk about “Jenny Diver” which is very similar!

minniep · 17/01/2022 15:22

I really like it .

PeonyAndSweetpea · 17/01/2022 15:29

I prefer it as Julia Jennifer Driver, it just seems easier to say abs sound better too. But that's my choice and you prefer it the other way.

Both are lovely names and underused. As it's very rarely both will be used and you like the names, then go for it (be prepared for people to call her JJ - until you fix them with a hard stare and say her name is Jennifer/Jenni/Jen)

Covidclaire · 17/01/2022 15:35

She can be JJ!

Middle names really aren’t important. I’d go with it.

Seasidesusy · 17/01/2022 15:35

Hmm thanks all. Appreciate the input! Maybe our 2nd choice (Ava) is a better way to go.

Jennifer is lovely though and there are so many Avas. I think Jennifer Julia Driver is fine.

OddsNSodsBitsNBobs · 17/01/2022 15:39

Ava instead of Jennifer?
I'd say that's more of a mouthful!!!

Jennifer Driver is fine and such an underused name these days. Go for it!

LookItsMeAgain · 17/01/2022 15:49

Ava Jennifer Driver is lovely - Ava Driver, though that could be pronounced like a Cockney "'ave a driver"

Yikes! Who knew it would be such a minefield!

user1493494961 · 17/01/2022 15:50

Ava Driver is a bit 'V' heavy, I would choose Jennifer Julia.

piney07 · 17/01/2022 15:50

No one will ever say all three names together, she’ll be known as Jennifer Driver, Jenny Driver or Jen Driver. So I wouldn’t sweat it if you love Jennifer and Julia is important.

As a random person on the internets opinion however, I do really like the name Julia Driver. Is there no reason her first name can’t just be Julia? I love the name Julia.

MaggieFS · 17/01/2022 15:51

I like both names, but I don't think they go very well together. I would also include a second middle name to break them up.

steppemum · 17/01/2022 15:55

toatlly agree that Jennifer Driver is fine, but Julia Driver is really nice! By far the best option
JugglingJanuary · 17/01/2022 15:56

You can't call her Ava Driver.

And Ava Julia Driver is not great, stick to Jennifer if you both love it. Jennifer Driver does run together a bit, but not too much 90% of the time she'll just be Jennifer anyway! Or JD!!

2bazookas · 17/01/2022 16:01

She'd be Jennifer Driver at school and at work.

Pleasant repetition of the ER end-syllable makes it a name that's mellifluous and memorable but will never date or sound pretentious.

Good choice.

Derbee · 17/01/2022 16:11

I’m not sure that Jennifer or Ava work nicely with Driver. Both names ending with “uh” is a bit repetitive somehow

Synchrony · 17/01/2022 16:15

I love Jennifer.

Don't choose a first name you like less based on a middle name no one will ever say. Jennifer is what you'll be using every day.

ThisMustBeMyDream · 17/01/2022 16:15

My name is Jennifer. Been called Jenny all my life. Jenny Driver isn't a great sound. Jennifer Julia is fine, but not with your surname. You need to choose carefully!
My surname was dreadful with Jenny, all my life I've hated my surname. To the point where I would introduce myself as Jennifer Surname rather than Jenny. I then had to explain I'm called Jenny. It was rather irritating to say the least. I would worry that your potential daughter may feel the same. It is inevitable she will get Jenny as a NN.

Seasidesusy · 17/01/2022 16:26

Ahaaaa oh god, Ava Driver sounded fine until today!
Julia can’t be the first name as it’s after someone close to the family and we’d rather not have her first name the same. We have some other choices for first name, maybe we need to go back to the drawing board
