Need baby girl names

Looking for girl names. I already have a daughter named Freya so ideally something that sort of goes with this name too.

Me and my husband have a shortlist of names including, Daisy, Thea, Elsie, Remi, Blair, susie

Still not sure if I like these names enough to name the baby! It's just so hard to pick names. When I had my first daughter I had Freya picked out quite early and it just clicked, I knew right away that was the perfect name but this time around I'm really struggling!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

hmm that's quite a mix on your shortlist!
I think the sounds in Freya and Thea are a bit similar to put them together. If you find anyone who doesn't pronounce "th" properly they'll be almost the same name!
Freya & Elsie is cute
Remi and Blair aren't in the same genre as Freya for me
Susie is cute and possibly due a comeback, I be tempted to use Susan or Susanna as a full name on birth certificate.

Freya & Anna
Freya & Amy
Freya & Grace
Freya & Georgia
Freya & Isla
Freya & Nancy

@emmathedilemma I know it's quite a mix! We've just been going through baby name lists and anything that we both sort of like has been added to the list just so we have something to refer back to. It's just so hard! I feel like I don't like any names in the world!

Thanks for your suggestions. I thought the same with Thea. Husband likes that name but I did say it's too similar sounding to Freya.

We also have a predicament with the surname because it begins with L so any names that contain L can sound like a mouthful. I actually like the name Holly too but I'm just not sure if it would sound silly with a surname begging with L

They are all beautiful names. I have a Daisy (she’s 12 now).

NoSquirrels · 07/01/2022 16:53

If you like Daisy and Holly, how about

Robin/Robyn
Sage
Rowan
Ivy
Iris
Hazel
Rosa/Rose

Maireas · 07/01/2022 16:55

Sibling names don't really need to match, do they? How about going for something different?
Margaret
Claire
Jennifer
Dawn
Rosalie
Anna
Susanna

  • they're all names I've seen on here recently, which are a bit different without being too radical.

Hazel is nice, pretty without being twee and still quite unusual.

I like all of your list, Freya and Daisy/Elsie is very nice to me. But I'll try offer some alternatives anyway!

For Daisy: Maisie, Rose/Rosie, Poppy, Lily/Lilith/Lillian, Violet, Heather, Willow
For Thea: Willa, Nina, Nora, Ada, Cora, Alethea
For Elsie: Elsa, Elise, Elodie, Eloise, Elspeth
Like Remi: Romy, Romily, Rowan, Reese
Like Blair: Blythe, Blake, Brooke, Briar, Bronwen/Branwen
Like Susie: Ruby, Lucy, Sophie, Sally, Sadie

Totally random: Tamsin, Imogen, Nell, Esther, Quinn, Evelyn, Ruth, Tess, Jessica

Daisy, OK but a bit twee; Thea, OK but very popular; Elsie, OK but I vastly prefer the full name Elizabeth or short version Eliza; Remi, boy's name, meaning 'oarsman'; Blair, boy's name, meaning 'field'; Susie very nice, but prefer Susan/Susannah as long name with Susie as short form.

Luredbyapomegranate · 08/01/2022 19:14

Thora - I’m sure that’s about to be revived

Astrid, Iona, Isla, Marina, Seren, Elisabeth, Helena, Liv, Philippa, Adela, Lois, Serena, Clara, Ava, Jocelyn, Caroline, Diana, Astra, Aster, Aphra, Viola, Verity, Cecily, Cecilia,

Thea goes fine too
Daisy and Elsie I think are very twee compared to the elegant and grown up Freya

WhoppingBigBackside · 08/01/2022 19:24

I'd cross out Remi and Blair - both awful

Daisy's the best on your list.
Susie needs to be short for something
Freya and Thea don't really go
Not keen on Elsie

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 08/01/2022 20:25

I’d say Freya and Thea sound far too similar.
Freya and Elsie balance each other out.
Other suggestions
Freya and
Poppy
Heidi
Sofia
Olivia
Alice
Megan
Emily
Hannah
Lara
Isabel
