Dull ceeee ? I like it
Ez- May - like it

Not so keen if it's Doll ceee or Ez-meee

MaryChristmouse · 05/01/2022 21:01

Esme -pronounced Ez-mee.

Definitely not Dolcie as it sounds like a) a made up name and b) the Italian for puddings (dolci) which you see on all Italian restaurant menus!

Esme

Broadlyskinny · 05/01/2022 22:35

Esme (Esmee, not Esmay)

HandsyChatters · 05/01/2022 22:40

Esme

Dolcie will more than likely spend a lifetime being called Dulcie

Kite22 · 05/01/2022 22:46

I like Dulcie. Not come across Dolcie.

Not keen on Esme.... I think accents don't help when not native to the language (I am assuming you are in an English speaking country as folk tend to say on this board if they aren't)......plus, I don't know how to do an accent on the keyboard.

Dulcie is absolutely adorable for a child but I can’t really imagine it on a grown woman... it’s a bit too cute...

Esme ages better, I think.

Bimblybomeyelash · 05/01/2022 23:19

Dunno about Dolcie. Prefer Dulcie or Dolores. Esme is nice. I prefer MEE rather than MAY.

forcedfun · 06/01/2022 08:53

Es-me is surely incorrect though if the name is spelt with an accent? It would be esmay.

Snowiscold · 06/01/2022 08:56

Esme - without the accent, which is incorrect.
I don’t like Dolcie, or Dulcie.

sweetbellyhigh · 06/01/2022 08:59

Dulcie yes Dolcie no

Annaghgloor · 06/01/2022 09:08

Dolcie sounds like she’s strayed off an Italian restaurant menu that no one proofread.
