Why are boys so hard? Help!

This is our 2nd baby due in a couple of weeks. We have a little girl called eliza.

We can't seem to find a boys name We love. I feel like I've looked at thousands of names and none just feel right.

We don't like anything super popular like top 10, nothing too surname like or American sounding.

The few we like and can agree on currently are:

Elliot/Elliott (my preferred one)
Max (husbands preferred - I'm not sure)
Jasper (next door neighbour has called her cat this though 😭)
Owen

Anyone suggest anything that might jump out at me?

We had Max and Owen on our list. Also had:

I love alliteration especially for boys..
Boys names can be a bit unimaginative and this way they sound more interesting without giving them a daft first name.

I love Elliot (Elliott?) and Max. I struggled to find a name for my DS too. My ex didn't like any of the names that I did - Leo, Jack, Felix, Marius, Anthony, Sam, Magnus - but we compromised with the name Nicholas. He wanted Benedict or Dominic. So there are a few more names for you!

All your options are fine but I think Elliott is a bit too similar to Eliza for my tastes. I love Eliza and imagine her brother to be

I'd warn against calling both of your kids the same first letter. I never knew my mouth could perform such weird gymnastics when trying to call the right child downstairs!

Why don't you both chose your fist , second and third preference from Max, Elliot and Owen and add up the scores so:
If you rate 1) Elliott= 3 points
2) Max = 2 points
3) Owen = 1 point
Your dh day

1. Max =3 points
2. Owen = 2 points
3. Elliott = 1 point So in this scenario Max is the winner with 5 points.

You need a name you can both !I've with rather than a name one of you adored but the other hates.

I like Elliott is perfect and so beautifully tuned with Eliza.

Max sounds like a dog's name.

Jasper is like Casper, not my taste.

Owen is not my taste too.

I also like Oscar, Arthur and Ethan.
