How can you choose a name for someone you haven't met yet? You have ideas, that's enough. Wait until you meet your brand new person, they really will choose it from your list. They'll have their personality and you will know immediately.

Halli2020 · 23/12/2021 17:10

My suggestion is to mix 2 together?
Billie Rae?
Emmy Brooke?

Mumofgirls2017 · 23/12/2021 18:42

Nancy, Nell, Nora or Betsy

siennna · 23/12/2021 18:46

Emmy - lovely
Reese - nice
Rae - dislike - all the 'Rae', 'Mae' will become dated
Nuala - ok but not as classy
Nancy - a bit frumpy to me
Nellie / Nell - lovely
Noa - nice
Betsy - dislike - too cutesy
Nora - nice
Brooke - dislike - American sounding
Billie - ok
Marla - nice

Er, quite easily?

Both our DCs’ names were predetermined. It’s actually not that unusual.

They all come out looking like wrinkled potatoes. I don't think that helps with naming

Nancy and Betsy are the only ones I like.

You seem to like ‘N’ names, what about Nina?

17caterpillars1mouse · 24/12/2021 19:00

Emmy - I really like Emmy but as a NN only. I love it for Emmeline

Reese - not a fan, I don't mind Rhys on a boy but not for a girl

Rae - it's ok, just a bit meh

Nuala - not a fan

Nancy - a name that seems very in at the moment but it don't understand the appeal

Nellie / Nell - lovely as a NN for Helen / Helena / Penelope
Noa - even with the different spelling everybody will assume she is a boy

Betsy - gorgeous as a NN
Nora - love it but spelt Norah
Brooke - nice enough
Billie - not a fan
Marla - it's nice

Underthestairsbears · 24/12/2021 19:12

Nora - Norah spelling is my fave
Nell - lovely, I also like Nella (Italian I fink?)

What about Nola? That's one I often suggest on these threads but not popular yet...

Some lovely choices though OP
