What do we think of the name Argon? I think it sounds noble but DH says he associates it with the far right!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
blablablack · 17/12/2021 23:17

I don't like it sorry. I think it sounds like a made up name from game of thrones.

Mumoftwoinprimary · 17/12/2021 23:18

Far less common than Oxygen or Nitrogen.

BingoLingFucker · 17/12/2021 23:18

I thought “washing machines live longer with Argon”?!

SoftSheen · 17/12/2021 23:22

Have you considered any names that are a bit more lefty (this is Mumsnet). Maybe Rubidium, nn Ruby?

It's definitely on our list if it's a girl, along with Antimony which I've also seen suggested here!

Beryl? Selena? Samar?

Goldrill · 17/12/2021 23:43

I suspect he may have trouble forming relationships. A bit full of himself with no internal requirement to interact with others.

It means lazy in Greek. Not very aspirational.
If you want that sort of name for a high flyer, how about Helium?

Notatwite · 17/12/2021 23:51

I’m not keen. What about Argos?

PoinsettaPrincess · 17/12/2021 23:54
