I am looking for a more unique MN that
shouldn't sound made up
goes well with a traditional first name like James
can be written like it's proununced
isn't in the Top100 (UK)
has a nice meaning
ideally has its roots in England / East Africa /Europe

Please mums help me here, really struggling to find a name.

I googled East African names and among the options that stood out to me was Dalmar.

It looks/sounds like it could be African or European, it feels quite elegant IMO, it sounds a bit like De la mare, and apparently it means versatile/many sided/traveller which could be nice especially for a child with mixed heritage.

When I spent time in Kenya lot of the men had biblical names, many would be popular here too but also some that aren’t heavily used in the UK; Emmanuel, Moses, Ebenezer, Elijah, Shem

Also names I would typically think of as surnames in the UK; Wilson, Evans, Godwin, Prince, Morris, Kennedy,

A few other names I met multiple people called which aren’t popular in the UK; Gideon, Wycliffe, Clement,

Not sure which area of east Africa you have li is to but could you Google the top 100 baby names in that country for ideas?
