Exactly. The Jamaican version of Deanne is spelt Dian. Very confusing 😩

Deirdre is spelled Deirdre in Ireland - it is an Irish name. It is usually pronounced Deerdra.
a as in ah.
The pronounciation by Ken Barlow etc in Coronation Street of Deerdree is not usual in Ireland
